Jorge Lewis is from the Snuneymuxw First Nation in Nanaimo,BC who specializes in making drums.
Jorge is a descendent of powerful Shamans, mask dancers and chiefs.
Jorge was taught how to make his own drum which inspired him to seek out the cultural history about drums from his Elder, Ellen White - Kwulasulwut (“Many Stars”), who shared the story of how the drum came to the people. Through out Canada and Internatinally Jorge shares his knowledge in his Drum Workshops for the Elders, youth, women and men before they experience making their own drum.
